Learning empathy through movement and storytelling at Larsen Elementary! 🎭💛

Our 2nd and 3rd graders took part in the Empathy Quest live theater performance, where they explored the meaning of empathy through engaging exercises and interactive moments. Students learned that it’s okay to ask for help, practiced self-regulation strategies, and discovered how to recognize emotions through facial expressions and body language.

A meaningful and engaging experience that helped students grow socially and emotionally. 🌟

Nuestros estudiantes de 2.º y 3.º grado participaron en la presentación teatral en vivo Empathy Quest, donde exploraron el significado de la empatía mediante ejercicios interactivos. Los estudiantes aprendieron que está bien pedir ayuda, practicaron estrategias de autorregulación y descubrieron cómo reconocer las emociones a través de las expresiones faciales y el lenguaje corporal.

Students enjoyed fun art and math activities all centered around the numbers 6 and 7, turning the milestone into a hands-on, joyful celebration of problem-solving and imagination. What an exciting way to mark 67 days of growth! ✨🧠🎨

Students performed songs that emphasized pitch and melody, along with music connected to their classroom studies, including pieces about the Chumash and songs from around the world. Their hard work, focus, and growing musical skills shined on stage. Families enjoyed every moment! 🌎🎤👏
